My first ever digital scrapbook page !

Oh my god I just got information that Kaisercraft have taken 30% of their digital range permanetly, anyways I went into the site to have a look and I thought I need to try this digital scrapbooking thing. So they have a range you can download for free to give digi scrap a go before you buy. Well I decided to give it try. So here is my first ever digital scrapbook page.

I found it enjoyable and certainly less messy but I won't be giving up my paper anytime soon. Fun for something different though. I will probably keep doing the digi style here and there but nothing will replace paper for me I LOVE IT!!! Thank you Kaisercraft !!!

I'M STILL HERE !!!

I AM STILL HERE !!!!

Hello I am still here. Thought I had better post before my blog gets spider webs. I have been busy, but isn't everyone these days. I have some images to show you, projects I am sort of working on (you know what sort of means) well I will get them completed one of these days. My first image is of my first ever applique quilt and I am making it for a friend, actually it is for her daughter it's a christening gift. I got the design from Australian Quilters Companion-design by Kirsten Duncan of Townsville. She had made a little wall hanging, very cute. I decided to use the bird design and change it slightly to make it a small quilt for a child. Thank you Kirsten!!!!!

I have also been working on a bejewelld quilt, I will give you a sneak peek. I am hand stitching a design at the moment out of the most gorgeous silk thread from gumnut yarns which you can purchase from Malanda Quilting and Sewing Supplies on line.

I have started stitching a needlecase designed by Cinderberry Stitches. Love these cute designs. it is a free design of the blog so go download it and have a stitch.

Last but not least I have recently returned to an old love, SCRAPBOOKING. I have made a xmas card for a special lady. What do you think?

Well that's all for now I have all these projects to finish and still alot of photography work to do and I need to get all the chrissy presents made, wish me luck, I will need it !

Remember Me

Hello, I'm the chicky that has a blog that I hardly ever blog on, SLACK!!! I have been busy with work but I also think I have lost my mojo. I am trying to find inspiration and I am at times but I am lacking motivation because I feel so tired all the time (I'm sure you can relate). I am keen to finish my photography work for the year and spend some time with my baby and hopefully get some craft done. Doing a quilt and have some ideas for a few other projects. Gotta get my head in the game, (courtesy of Zac Efron - High School Musical), the things we have to watch when we have children. I will post some images soon.

Lost in work!

Hi friends

So sorry I have not been posting. I am so busy with my photography I have had no time for sewing, stitching or painting etc etc. Not very good for the soul. I miss all my craft terribly but the mighty dollar must rule! I hope to be back into the fun stuff soon. I will be helping my mum plan her wedding over the next 12 months which will be fun. My daughter is turning 10 next year so we will be throwing her a cool party so her and I will be planning that over the school xmas holidays. So between work and family commitments it does not leave much time for fun! As soon as I can get back into it I will post something more interesting than this I promise.

Hello

It has been a while since I posted anything but I have been very busy and I am about to get busier. I have been working on my bejewelled quilt (which is still not finished) and now I have started some hand stitching here is a sneak peek

My daughter just finished her grade 3 Ballet exam I am glad that is over for another year. I have also been doing a little photography, trying to be creative. The only bad thing about doing what you love for a living is that you only do what needs to be done and you forget to do for yourself(you all know what I am talking about). So Jodi if you are reading this you have inspired me to get back into doing images for me, so thank you very much. Here is an image to show what i have been up to.

It's not brilliant but I like it and it is all about experimenting. I am going to try to post more often so keep an eye out. Enjoy the sunshine - I am!!!!!!

Hello, I got back from Brisbane yesterday afternoon and it is nice to be home. I went down to see PINK in concert and it was excellent, I loved it. She is one cool lady. Before I left though I made my first Melly & me soft toy for my niece. She loves it and I think it's very cute.

Oh my goodness oh my goodness (in the words of Annie), I have been so busy working in my photography business, being a mum to a dancing girl and in between trying to create. I sort of finished my first portrait painting and entered it into the local show. It received a highly commended and totally shocked me, I didn't expect any recognition for my first painting and WOW! the judges really liked it. They loved the eye's and also gave me some wonderful criticism on how I could improve the painting, very happy with that!

I discovered an english magazine called Sew Hip and I made a little putty tat out of scrap fabric for my daughter's friend's birthday present ( she adores cats).

My first ever quilt is finished and has been sent away for pro quilting ( to big for me to tackle). Sorry no pictures at this stage but when it comes home to me I will definetly post some pics. I have met an amazing lady TONIA!!! who I met when I was desperate for someone to make a costume for my daughter. Oh my goodness what a talented lady, so I now do quilting classes with her every wednesday (my favourite day of the week). My first project with her is a bejewelled quilt which is going quite well - can't show you yet but when it is done pics will be posted. She has a great online store http://www.malandaquilting.com.au/index.php check it out her products are amazing and so are the prices. I got the new Melly & Me book "Kaleidoscope" Oh my goodness LOVE IT!!!!! Malanda Quilting stocks Melly & Me patterns and this wonderful book I am sure you will not find a better price, check Malanda Quilting out. I am also making a quilt for my goddaughter, an apron and a Melly & Me Lottie & Little Lady. BUSY BUSY!!!
